For the caster, ring spanners can be a rough substitute for Boolit Molds.

E.G. A 15mm ring spanner will turn out a 1oz (approx) slug of 0.68" diam. the rim will be star shaped which will help it swage into smaller chokes if you want. It can then replace the shot from a bog standard 7.5 clay round and sealed with candle wax, giving you a cheap slug round for plinking.

I'm sure the same can be done for 410. Probably a 9mm ring spanner would be suitable, use a standard shot shell.

Cheap practice rounds.

Got a parcel from Siarm today. 100 slugs and plastic wads. Nice efficent service.

I went to my local RFD last week to enquire about .410 slug, they said that they had a box out back so I said I'd have them.
She came back with a box of 5 Remington slugs, for £10 :o

Anyway I pulled one of the Remington slugs apart, roughly .40 cal at 96.2gr. New slugs from Siarm with the plastic wad weighs 96.2gr, spooky.

Just need to get a roll crimp now.

Google Folkestone Engineering Services, they do all sorts of shotgun reloading stuff and 410 reloading is mentioned on their site. They may well have a crimp tool for 410.
Call John on the number supplied, he'll give you chapter and verse and is very helpful.

From what I've seen they just re sell siarm sourced components at a very heavy mark up.

Seriously, just go straight to Siarm. They're great- Paypal will handle the currency conversion at a reasonable fee*, shipping is quick and there are no import taxes/duties to pay. They will also advise on loads if you ask, but they sound rather heavy.

*They take a cut by slightly altering the exchange rate. Probably worth it just for their refund policy.

Shot nicely, 18gr of 'Lil Gun, over powder card, plastic wad and slugs from Siarm in 2½" hulls.

25 yards off hand open sights.

I'm more interested in the 410 bull-pup that someone on PigeonWatch made from a bolt action...though he needs to get the sight base lowered
