Had a couple of early Hawk SR12s. They worked very well with a PCP for rabbitting, however, both developed fungus on the erector tubes and had to be replaced.
I must point out that this was not down to storage or care, I look after my kit, but also to be fair to Deben they were replaced in advance.
Good for the money, but I felt the rets rather thick preffering the MTCs. I have looked through a few S&Bs recently and still prefer the ret on my elcan for that reason, the same going for the sightron, that too has a nice precise ret.
Very subjective.
