I wouldn't even try long range pistol with a wadcutter Fred hence my mentioning the range limitation of 50 M in my previous post.
The main advantage of the round nose in the 1500 and PP matches was for speed loading not accurasy. I remember some of the problems that some guys had when trying to push HBWC too fast, hence the use of double ended wadcutters which were solid.
I hope you weren't one of those guys that shot PP1 &2 under the NRA cheating rules rather than the proper rules eg. 5 shot strings to allow the use of GSP and FAS pistols. LOL.
P.S. I owed both the GSP and FAS 603 but used them soley for U.I.T. While I liked the GSP I found it hard work to shoot well with consistently. My scores with that particular pistol were up and down like a whore's drawers. Still not a bad pistol and still missing it.
I also owned and shot a Sako Triace a one time, both in .22lr and .32wc

Re: Round nosed bullets
No, i never used the GSP for anything but precisiom and Standard Pistol. For PP type comps I had a custom 686 with a heavy barrel and rib---also a Python, Model 14 S&W, Triple-lock S&W, Colt New service, Webley WG and so on---my main interest was and is Classics and muzzle loaders. I never practised the PP disciplines, just shot the competitions.
