1. Thread for Bronze Chamber Brush
2. Foresight adjusting.
3. Gas Regulator
4. Extractor removal pin.
5. General screwdriver.
6. Foreskin gunge remover.

7. Large flat portion at top of image engages with gas plug to aid twisting the bloody thing when its nicely welded into place....as they tended to do after a lot of use.

Thanks for the sarcasm, maybe you could wind your neck in and have a look the rope pull thru's that have a Male thread on them.

Never EVER seen such a thing issued in conjunction with the Tool for which you had no idea of the id of...and ROPE? pull thru's: you ex Artillery or something?
I've seen/used AMERICAN issue pull throughs that have a threaded section to attach either a brush or jag/loop tip. Never

I ONLY ever used these - during my training on the SLR.


The metal end section internal is NOT threaded & is purely a weight to draw the pull through down the barrel; plus it differs from the earlier No.4 version of the pull through in that the metal end is chamfered so it can also be used as a carbon scraper...so IF you see a pull through with a plain ended weight, then it is for a .303 (see, ya learn something every day)

We NEVER used the brushes on ANYTHING other than the combination tool, as field/user cleaning was restricted to pull-through with 4by2. ONLY the unit armourers went anywhere near the barrel with a brush, as they were the only ones with cleaning rods. Doing anything above & beyond what could be accomplished with the issue cleaning kit could lead you liable to a charge, as would stripping the SLR past what was required for routine cleaning.

Try reading a book on the SLR, then you'll potentially have a better knowledge base on the SLR & it's accessories.
The Blake Stevens title "British & Commonwealth FAL" would be the best first read...and should be cheaper to buy for you than the later work of his, that brought all three volumes of his FAL series into a single hardback edition.

My mate is local to you & may have a spare reading copy, though he has probably already eaten the crayons that were free on the front of his larger print edition.

I know you will shortly require an explosives licence for a box of matches in deep fried Mars bar land, but surly they will still let you have bootlaces, or is it velcro for the poor down trodden masses north of Hadrian's iron curtain?

He uses Velcro because he doesn't have opposable thumbs....
