What do you intend to do with it?
e.g. Shoot prone, shoot 3P, coach from a chair?
Do you need to fit it into a shooting bag?
Do you need to carry it long distances between ranges?
Do you need to travel with it by air?

..

Almost exclusively prone... maybe the odd bit of benchrest.

Most of the ranges I go to have fairly easy access from the car parks, so portability isnt a massive issue.
No need to travel by air at present!
Freeland or Opticron will do all you ask of them mate- for bench yea use a ball joint if the bench int wobbly & prone to vibration.

Ha good one - nice quote made me smile - many F class rifles I have seen have more scope than rifle! :run:

Problem with the powerful scopes used in F Class is the narrow field of view so, one rifle-mounted scope for shooting and a spotting scope for keeping an eye on your neighbours' target or maybe the windflags......

The Polecat scope stand is light weight and very popular. They seem to be available through Creedmore Sports, but i'm not sure how available they would be in the UK?
