Curious... is there a significant risk of damage to the chamber of an AR if using brass jags? I seem to have managed OK to date.

Brass jags no problem BUT if the end of the cleaning rod is steel then it can obviously not help to scrape it along barrel or chamber.

For me a bore guide just makes things a whole lot easier AND cleaner...IE you get the chemicals where they are needed and not all over the place as you introduce the jag/patch/chemical.

Ovenpaa is fastidious in his kit manufacture.....I would accept his RF bore guide 'as is' but he will not release it until it is improved to his high standards of design & manufacture....trust his kit... its good stuff!
