The .223 uppers are most easily identified by their ejection port with is large enough to allow a full .223 round to come out, as opposed to the smaller 9mm ones.

The reason the Uzi versions carry a premium is 1/ None have blown up 2/ They look better (like an M635 AR SMG) 3/They've had less recorded magazine/feeding problems

How well do the latest versions fare?

Not the latest version, but my July/Aug 2013 LRA9 has run sweetly with no problems (other than a slight buffer tube issue which was sorted by Bob within a week). See pic below for an idea of the upper/lower shape (on the left; S&W15-22 on the right).

We have an older (lever grip model) SGC 9mm at our club which uses the Uzi mags - personally I prefer the Glocks, being seemingly a lot easier to get hold of in the UK.

Anyone know of any mag pouches that fit the 33rnd Glock mags?

Do they not just fit in generic sub machine gun pouches?

These viper ones have a massive amount of adjustment on them:

I should have asked what is a good price for an Uzi version with 3 x 32rd mags and a 1.5-4.5 20mm Barski scope?
