As with almost everything, we're massively ripped off in the UK compared to the US.

I believe many of the US-brand powders are actually made in Australia and simply packaged in the US, so someone between the US and here is profiting massively at our expense, at least part of which is probably the Government, but who else?

It's nuts. I had to pay £65/1000 for CCI primers at Norman Clark - fleeced!

You don't actually have to have CCI though do you? What about the other brands?

CCI shoots the tightest group with Lapua Palma brass, and lowest ES too, for my 168 hybrids.

For large rifle, cant get Fed 210M, just the normal 210, so CCI BR2 is my only choice.

So have I got this right?

There's going to be a significant price rise for this new powder, before it's even formally launched!

I pay £29 for a 1000 primers and I don't see any difference in my shooting running them side by side with Federal=(£34) or CCI = (£34)

Well yeah you wouldn't if all you are shooting at is a target 25 -100 yards away. The majority of us have access to ranges in excess of a 100 yards. tongueout

Some of you might want to have a chat with Nigel so you can appreciate the expense and work involved in bringing powders into the UK.

It's very easy to compare the price of goods in the U.S. with the price we pay in the U.K. and assume someone is just marking it up and making more profit for themselves, but it's usually much more complicated than that and when it comes to powder and primers there are all sorts of restrictions and regulations required to import them, which has an impact on the cost to the seller.

Nigel is not one of those people out to make a quick buck from UK shooters by hiking his prices for no reason. If he's had to increase them there will be a genuine reason for it.

Presumably you feel the same about the cost of diamonds and gold as well? ;)
