it does have M3 EXP-01 on the side along with .223 rem.
i will get the variation changed when i put in for 7.62 x 39 and 7.62 x 54r :grin:

Well that is inspiring fella. an akm/akms is on the list although i can't decide which.
Then i have to decide on getting a mosin or svds.

Go for it all....... I did!!!!.I love my SVDS, it shoots nice with no extraction problems and has been ultra reliable but they are rare in the UK and mine is one of only a handful.

Regarding the 1:7 twist, mine didn't like the heavier stuff and shot best with 62gn surplus RG ammo - OK with 69 SMK's but not great - but each rifle is different.

1-in-7 twist should theoretically be OK for everything from 45 grains to 80+ grains, but as quite rightly noted above, every rifle is different.
