We have bought (from JD of this parish) a RCBS Rockchucker Supreme press, 505 scales and some other bits of kit.

You'll like reloading the 45ACP. Compared to 7mmRM it's a joy, probably the easiest calibre to reload for IMO, with the possible exception of the 44 spl/mag. 45ACP was designed to headspace on the case mouth . . . do you know whether that holds true for the DeLisle, or does it headspace on the rim like the action was desiged for?meles meles wrote:We've also just procured some .45 ACP dies in order to can a few hisses for our DeLisle carbine

...I was fixing it to a piece of worktop today; and part of the design is such so you can get a screwdriver through it to the screw...for the mechanically-challenged like myself these are nice details.

Loading pistol cartridges is very satisfying but its nice loading 8x57 instead of driving for hours for surplus.
