Ah Dromia..I have, N120 and 5744, at the moment. That is good news.
Yeeeeeeeeeeha. I'll try some tentative loads, starting at 25 of 5744. Not sure of N120. fingerscrossed sign92 dkflag

I'd try starting at 22 gns with N120 working up to 26 or 27 depending on what velocities/accuracy you get.

I'd also try a little lower with 5744 unless you are already getting around 1600fps with 25gns. That is an 1800fps plus load from my rifles.

Elcho 17/reloder 17 is reported to be the original GP11 fill, I have some but have yet to get around to loading it, TR140 with 174grn PPU jacketed works well for me to 600, and I have shot it to 1000 and hit the target :o the PPU factory ammo is hotter than my reloads and shoots quite a bit higher. I would be very carefull about going too low with powder charges, as the K31 rewards soft loads with a jet of high pressure gas in the area of your bifocals! :o /n140 or TR140 works fine and doesn't batter the eyeballs :good: I have hopes for the elcho 17 as well

Thanks Dromia. sign92 I'll start at 23gn of 5744 and work up slowly. I will have to play with the chrono and tune for accuracy.
Thanks kennyc. :goodjob: Dodgyrog mentioned Reloder17 as well. I will buy that for the jacketed rounds only, as they need a good kicking. bumpsign sign01 What charges have you for Reloder 17 behind a 174 PPU.
Anybody use 4064 or 3031 any????

I've worked up to a load of 43 grains of TR140 with a 174 gr PPU FMJ bullet (PPU case + Remington 9 1/2 Large Rifle primer).

Seems to work quite well with a good neck seal and no sooty rim.

My pal uses 51gr Elcho 17 behind the 174gr ppu bullet but I cannot say anything more than work up your own loads!!!

Hi
Anyone know where I can get TR140 in or around Norfolk?

Hello,
I think you might struggle finding TR140 in Norfolk but Spud1967 (google is your friend!) might have some. Failing that, are you or any of your club mates going to the Phoenix as its fairly easy to get hold of at Bisley. If you get really desperate, I have a new tub sitting here that you can have enough for say 50 rounds out of. I am in South Norfolk.
