Welcome to the forum Ross. I downloaded and printed your Wind chart last week and even gave a copy to another forum member but I am yet to actually try it yet, mostly because it would have turned into a soggy rag in seconds last Friday. I have just taken a look at it and applied my windage and it looks to be in the right area for my .308 @1000 and I look forward to trying it properly next weekend. I will post my findings at 800/1000. I built something very similar a while ago for 1000/1200 based on my own loads and JBM as a data source (It is free and handy) and this has reminded me to check my figures for my 7mm!

I have printed them double sided, laminated them and tie them together with small ring clips. White paper is a bit bright so I also have printed a set on dark grey paper. Not that dark you can't see the colour though.

Good idea, I laminate my basic drop tables and other data in deference to the English weather and then hang them off the side of my 'scope just in case....

Hi all,

With huge thanks to Ross Mason for designing the chart I went to JBM ballistics and got all the data I needed for my specific .308" target load. Used this to create an elevation and wind table then my clever brother created a chart just like Ross's for my own load. I have used it at Bisley twice now at 1,000yds - fantastic, last time ihad a fishtailing wind between 5 & 5.30pm at about 6-8mph; fantastic, settings spot on, quite a number of V's

I am not sure what you meant by the copyright, I am pleased of course to acknowledge it as yours; but I have only printed a one-off for myself.

I sat down last night and carefully anyalised my last two score cards and compared it to my modified A4 sheet for the 155.5gr Berger - SPOT ON. Although I had a light fish-tailing wind from 5pm - 5.30pm I was able to pick-up on the very small wind changes needed. I will not big-up my score but lets just say it was very **. : no, lets just say very satisfying.

If you wish to pm me I will send you my version (large file), the only difference between mine and yours was really only the placement of the moa numbers, which is now easier to read. I was amazed to see that your version is based on the AJ Parker, which I guess was originally 154gr?? RG shows a 9o/c max wind of 20moa, my load was 16moa (interesting) :geek:
