It's generally ok. PTS is Magpul-made after all; they just don't warranty it for real firearms use and, I suspect, don't apply as strict quality control in manufacture (hence the lower price). If it's not a stress-bearing part then why not use it?

The NWCP latest twitter is interesting... No idea if there's any truth to it.
We have just heard Magpul is no longer registerd for exporting outside the US this last hour so not sure when it will be available again

Its true. You have to be registered with State Dept as a manufacturer before your goods can be exported. Maybe its due to their move from Colorado to Texas and is a temporary thing or maybe they have had enough of export. They stopped the PTS deal with China a while ago so anything that says airsoft or PTS on it now is non licensed, too many fakes apparently.
There maybe a few exporters that have not got the full story yet but seems like the one Wayne uses has.

We have an existing export license and are apparently OK, I am being told that there is no problem with supply. In fact I have a big shipment of PMAGS, 10's, 20's, 30's and 40's inbound. So no price changes.
If you are applying for a new export license now then it will not be granted as the manufacturer is not listed with the DDTC. I'm sure they will re register in due course as they have quite a big export business with EMags etc... Saying that those big Emag customers may well have existing export licenses, like ours, that do not have to be renewed for a couple of years, so who knows.

Those guys are all buying from Brownells who apply for an export license for every new order as the order is placed.
Anyone with an existing export license that is set up correctly should be OK as it has already been granted.
Hopefully new reform will free up a lot of equipment in the future and it will be interesting to see where the DofS decides dual use accessories like Magpul products fall.
