I purchased 1200 rounds of that from henry krank 12 years ago and every one was damp and corroded inside , It was advertised as tarnished 7.62 and kranks wanted nothing to do with it and said it was only sold for the components refusing to agree that they sold it as shootable ammunition .
The D46 185 grain FMJ's I managed to salvage after tumbling the lot in walnut media , Apparently they purchased a very large amount of it from Indian army after some problem with storage.

They are taking quite a chance selling those, even if it was only for breaking down and salvaging the components! I wouldn't have thought that any RFD would take such a risk.

The bullets may be salvageable but the cases must surely be suspect if there is that degree of internal corrosion/chemical attack. I for one would give them a wide berth.
Just goes to show how ammunition can deteriorate when not stored correctly, and people have the cheek to criticise the MOD for dumping ammo that is possibly suspect having been out of controlled conditions in the field. Goes to show that perhaps they know what they are doing after all.
