Anybody know the exact size of the drum. Or any of the dimensions would help. I feel a project coming on. tesnews

Just grab whatever size saucepan you can and go at it with an angle grinder, if you have a way of adjusting the speed the diameter shouldn't matter.
For rimmed cases I'd cut the bottom off the pan then reattach with a small gap using L shaped brackets that could also be used to adjust the drum height for different cases

Adjusting the speed is easy.

Sounds like a plan to me. I like the idea of cutting the bottom off and making it adjustable for cartridge case length. I would just use a small electric motor with adjustable speed control. I have showed the video to my guys at work they think its a easy project. So when we have some spare time you never know. tesnews

Do your guys have access to large lathes, big enough for the drum? Could come out looking brilliant!

Yes we have access to large lathes. But turning a drum that size would be a awful waste of stainless steel and expensive. A better idea would be to get a stainless drum/bowl of food quality and machine the bottom off then modify it to suit. drill a hole in the base mount it to a small motor with variable speed control and mount the whole thing in a stainless steel tray. tesnews

I have them somewhere. The drum is a ventilation ducting end-cap. Should cost about 2 quid.

Adjusting the heat is easier. Just move the flame away.
