We all need a local friendly RFD and especially new shooters are not always aware of who their local RFD is.

Shooters, united we stand, unfortunately doesn't look that way to me

Yeah all well and good but if and i mean if(wasn't there so don't know) but if someone is knocking you would you sit back and swallow it.
If a member of a forum is "knocking", then perhaps a forum might want to take action against the person concerned.

But its a LOT more sinister when they decide that all mention of said person is banned !! Then it starts to sound more like North Korea sign01
Sounds like you've just described airgunBBS and a certain Mr Bradley..... tongueout

He was recently banned from four islands too, lucky he has his own forum or maybe he will ban himself.

I don't know if the contents or the quotes are true. I know some of Four4islands are on FBUK, perhaps they could enlighten us either way?

(Peter Starley owns MidwayUK)
From what I gather it all stems from a general dislike/bad feeling (hatred but that could be a bit harsh) between the people running ukpsa and four4islands. F4i was set up by ex ukpsa members and both groups promote practical shooting in the UK and from what I can tell is much more popular than ukpsa with some of the PSG matches having 80+ competitors and a couple of matches attract 120+, anyone can shoot on an f4i match, you don't need to be a member, whereas ukpsa matches attract 20-30 tops (so I am lead to believe), you have to be a member to shoot their matches as well as paying for and completing a 2 day basic course, you can't even view their forum without paying to be a member.

I gather midway sponsor matches in the ukpsa, I gather most if not all the people that run f4i are banned from ukpsa and just recently 2 high ranking competitors (one the championship winner) were suspended from ukpsa due to their involvement in promoting f4i/nra matches and recently you will have read that the NRA want to take over running ipsc matches in the UK, which ukpsa currently run so the wick has been turned up on the general bad feeling between the two groups. Most of us try to stay out of the politics as we are in it to shoot.

If you want to sell as a business on f4i you have to pay an annual subscription to pay towards running the club, so they are not in the habit of boycotting RFD's its just the fact there is history behind this one you bring up Gaz.

Nice 'journalism' Gaz. Try getting the whole story before posting inflammatory posts on other forums.

The vitriol is strong between them and I can't see the situation getting any better whilst they fight each other whilst the NRA do whatever they need to do to take over the ipsa membership.

I see the 4island pov though forums aren't free to run and if a dealer is anti that forum them it must grate to have them use the forum (I assume indirectly) to gain business so a message to that would be reasonable (banning seems extreme but I guess its a threat, has anyone actually been banned for mentioning midway?) at the same time, taking that comment and cross posting it as some kind of "see, look how nasty they are" type post is a bit childish?

I've long since decided to stay out of it all, I shoot whatever match I am able to and feel welcome at and will buy my kit from whatever place gives me good service.
