any info on COL would help me with dodgyrog's 123gr gas checked leadheads please.
looking at 50-100yds out of an A.I.A. carbine.
Got everything here tried a dummy run and ended up with 1.82 inches.

The 7.62x39 is one of the easiest calibres I re load for. Just got to remember the AIA is not .308 when using cast boolits .311/.312 is the way to go. Dodgyrog boolits are OK I use them my self.

Using Rog soup cans cartridge overall length is 1.8945.
Cast boolits can give you feed problems with the AIA. I single load cast rounds so it does not bother me just be aware don't try to rush it. I bought a 5 round magazine for mine and it feeds better than the original. Have fun.

I use both Rog's Soupcan and Round Nose boolits, Soupcans in the single shot Handi Rifle and Round Nose in the Howa 1500 as Soupcans don't feed from the mag due to the flat nose. No discernible difference at 25m using either.

I have used flat nose and round nose in mine the soup cans don't feed due to the flat nose the round nose are hit and miss.
I intend to try a .313 boolit in mine a longer boolit with lots of lube grooves hope fully for better fit. I will slug the bore first.

My reloading regime for the AIA.
I started of with lapau cases and full metal jacket bullets I fired them off and saved the cases. The cases were tumble cleaned then the primer was removed using a Lee depriming die.
The cases were then cut to length and the pockets uniformed on a LeWilson trimmer.
The cases are then neck sized using a LeWilson neck sizing bushing die.
The case mouth is then flared using a expander that I made my self it fits in the Lee expander die and free floats.

(Adam asked me if I could make one of these and gave me some measurements to work to. To see if it could be done. It works so well I have kept it and I use it all the time. I will probably make some more when I have time. Don't tell him what ever you do)

The cases are then primed powder is dropped in and the boolits are seated using a LeWilson seating die with a Arbor press. Easy peasy.

What sort of accuracy do you get at 25m.
