Tony thank you for replying please please don't take this the wrong way I don't understand what ES stands for.I have been using Hunter and Big Game in my 260 along side N150 and N160.
The ES with Ramshot is single figures and so far I cant get that with the Viht powders.
The best in my 260 so far is Big Game even though, on paper, its too fast.(139gn bullet)
What I would like to see is Ramshot in 8lb or 3.5kg tubs.
When I first opened the Hunter is looked similar to Vectan SP7.
Considering where its made it wouldn't surprise me!

You need to make yourself a list of commonly used abbreviations like these couple I found:
http://www.allthingsshooting.com.au/page/1493761
http://thefiringline.com/Misc/library/TFL_Primer.htm
BTW the ES you're looking for is listed as EV in the first link.

There's no way, in my opinion, that Alpha1 who has been shooting and loading for decades has not come across these abbreviations before or indeed, does not know what they represent. And it's not just on threads of this ilk either. The question of clarification from him stems from his utter distain of abbreviations as opposed to ignorance....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

If I don't understand some thing I ask the question. I genuinely puzzled over the ES until it clicked. My concern is that if I struggle with the abbreviation how do we expect a new comer to understand what we are talking (posting) about. There's no way, in my opinion, that Alpha1 who has been shooting and loading for decades has not come across these abbreviations before or indeed, does not know what they represent. Re: Ramshot Powders
I have used Ramshot Hunter and found it to be very good and consistent but my downside comments I have are that being a very small ball powder it is very fluid when pouring, beware. It is also susceptible to static electricity charges. It can stick to the ends of cases, sharp edges, plastic surfaces etc.
Ramshot told me to add 1 teaspoon of graphite powder to 1lb of Hunter to reduce the static problem. You could also use tumble drier anti-static cloths to wipe your kit.
It did concern me somewhat about the Ramshot graphite comment as I thought they should be working to stop this rather than the customer.
