Have you seen the semi-auto FG-42 they do in Germany?, I have heard they do a straight pull version as well.

A Gewehr 43 would be nice as would an SVT-40 (I think a straight pull SVT May be next on my list, to replace the Enfield)

I want an FN FS2000 in .22LR. I really want a bullpup but I'm a lefty so it'd be perfect. I'll take a PS90 in 2nd place.

A 24" OAL FN P90 would be very nice.

Part of me would like a .22lr L85A2, but only because I could use it to keep my weapons skills truly honed. The rest of me thinks that this would just be masochistic. I'd also end up getting annoyed that the optic I mounted on the .22 would be better than the SUSAT.

Frankly, I'd just rather be allowed to shoot .22 pistol.

There are a selection of non AR style rifles available in 22 available at the moment.

The AK47, MP5, StG44, M1 Carbine, K98, Martini Enfield, AR7, Winchester type underlever etc are such examples.

The Bren and the Sten both fire from an open bolt, would that make a difference to the viability?

Personally I'd like to see an L85 in .22. I'd even buy an L98 in 5.56 if anyone was selling one. I know they are not very good but it's the first full bore rifle that I fired.

Funnily enough - I came back on to redress an earlier error

My MAIN "want" should have been a .22 version of the Rifle, No.9 - though a straight pull only in the original caliber would get my interest
