If they'd sort out the joint membership we'd join, currently SACs is £50 for family membership (which already includes legal cover), that's for any 2 related adults at the same address. BASC would cost my son and I £132 as their joint membership is only for husband & wife or partner.

The single membership is set to go up by £3 in March plus it's an extra £4 if you wish to pay over 10 months.

I can't fault BASC so far. I was surprised when they not only fought my corner but well and truly "f*cked sh*t up" on my behalf when I had delays on a variation.

Is this extra cover now part of membership? Haven't seen any info from BASC lately.

Yes it is, unless (as in our case) my sons original problem with Durham started over 2yrs ago so the current debacle isn't covered by it.

Just remember that BASC are NOT the insurer, that will be their pet broker, whoever it is now. Best check who underwites it before getting all excited methinks.
