Nice one! They paid in my cheque the other day so hopefully I'll get a call soon. Just need to bolt my safe to the floor properly.

Had the visit, very pleasant bloke, explained everything thoroughly, knocked my ammo allowances down due to outright cost, which is fine for now. He was happy with my security and the firearms I asked for and the reasons for them.
Could be 4-6 weeks now, maybe longer with Xmas in the way

Sounds like it went well. What takes the time now? Does it just sit in a senior officer's in tray for ages?
I've not heard anything yet, hopefully I'll at least get my visit before Christmas.

Just the processing and computer entry now I think. There's probably only one person in the whole of south Yorkshire who can rubber stamp it and I bet it's not high on their priorities

So 6.5 weeks in, I've had my visit and they've just cashed the cheque, not sure how long it will be from here, getting and itchy wallet now

Took 10 months for mine ... Although me having a stroke 6 weeks after the initial application caused some serious delay ! Good luck !

Just had my visit. Very nice chap, seemed completely fine with all I had asked for (nothing out of the ordinary, 2x .22LR, a 7.62, a 5.56 and a S1 shotgun with 1200 .22 and 250 of the others). Subject to sorting out an issue with a missing referee form he said it should be wrapped up in the next few days. He seemed much happier about allowing a S1 for clay shooting than most clay shooting establishments are TBH.
