I was offered a very nice WW2 .38 Webley revolver the other day...excellent condition, nice blued finish, looked almost unused.
Seller was asking £75.
He sold it later in the day for less than £20; with about 70 rds of ammo chucked in...!!!

The above "£" values may be slightly off by a guinea or two, had to do rough conversion from SweKr


As usual the media will be making much of this non-story.
It's long been the case that one of the best ways to obtain a gun is to build a basic single shot type & use it to take a gun from a better armed state employee - i.e. OSS Liberator pistol, pipe/zip gun, etc.

Why is nobody making these in straight pull? judging by the number of AKs around I reckon it could be a nice little earner...
