If you are discussing accurate 303 service rifles why take the Ross out of the equation.

From my collection I'd happily put my Ross MK11, my P14, my No4T and my 1913 BSA No1 MK111 up against the vast majority of .303 rifles with very little worries too.

A good rifle is a good rifle.

I own a p14 quite alike to the one pictured in the opening post, weedon repair standard, parker hale 5B sight, BSA Match quality barrel , i hope to try it out on the 600 yard range at thorpe cloud this weekend along with the SMLE and the NO.4.

I have done some work on the upper front wood , which was a different colour to the rest of the rifle. When I took the wood off, there was a name? inside. "MERRETT"
Before and after photo's are attached.

The stock also has a coin inserted and I am tempted to replace it with a replica butt disc. before I do that, does the coin have any significance?
