In theory it should be, they are trying to mimic Service Rifle which should use service ammo and shoot to a service (combat) standard.

GGG is NATO standard (meaning it should function to a certain standard and cyle all NATO 7.62x51 gas operated weapons).

It has a hot cross bun on the base.

The particular ammo we were using was wooden boxed then in green poly sealed blocks of 20x boxes....all NATO marked and made in the 70s IIRC...but amphatically not Mill surp apparently (according to an NRA source).

Makes you wonder why the manufacturer would store it that long doesn't it? :55:

MEN, RG etc should all be to the same (or similar standard). The chambering is also designed to allow for greater tolerances in machine loading and dirty/hot barrels.

That said, I dont know to what standard the CSR guys load, or whether it is an advantage to hand load.

I would say always unless you can get cheap, consistent supplies of ammo that works as well as a hand load would.

That said, the ammount we used to get through....sod loading that!!!

We figured once one round had gone though it, it needed cleaning....sod the expence, buy the cat a goldfish bangbang

GGG is made in Lithuania to NATO spec. We are currently selling 2012 GGG in 7.62 and 2013 GGG in 5.56. In a couple of weeks we will be selling 2013 GGG in 7.62.

This stuff is brand new bought direct by us from the UK importer who in turn gets it straight off the ferry from the factory. It was made in the last 19 months at worst. It is not "milsurp" it is new ammo to the military spec.
