I would love the aug in semi but as a straight pull I have mixed feelings. I think cocking it everytime is annoying because its a hassle (maybe I need to wear it in?). Saying that my ak with iron sight in straight pull is fantastic.

I have shot an AK straight pull and I think the Aug is easier, you have to remove your right hand to cock the AK, were it is left haned with the Aug.

Geek,
If you are right handed, why dont you keep your strong hand on the grip and use your weak-hand to operate the charging handle by going underneath the hand-guard ? This is how I was taught to charge and do charge controls on weapons of the AK family or others with a right side charging handle. Works fine.

No - the gun has the standard left handed cocking handles (for those who like losing skin), the right handed cocking lever was added by the gunsmith I bought it from and makes it a lot more useable for CSR etc

Or you could just swap your scope mount around so the knobs/levers/nuts are on the other side?

What is the optic on the grass? - Rifle looks very 'trick' (wished mine looked like that!)

Also where did you buy the 'brass catcher'? If that is what it is (I do hope so), stray brass can be a bit of a problem on the range.

if you get the seat and angle right at Short Siberia, you can hit the target, then eject the brass into the waste bin behind the firing line razz very ergonomic clapclap
