Rox, my understanding is technically you do need a licence as the ammunition is being permanently exported from the country of sale having said that if you are only bringing in ammunition in modest numbers it should not be a problem and what about the GB teams when they take ammunition overseas for comps?

GGG as supplied by the Range office at Bisley is good ammo, and boxer primed as well

Yes, I was refering to buying ammo in Europe and bringing it back.

They had loads of it, but its all gone back. No one seems to be sure why that is...

I've just converted a load of GGG 7,62 to 7mm-08 - nice brass worked very well.kennyc wrote:GGG as supplied by the Range office at Bisley is good ammo, and boxer primed as well
I found it in the bins at the range - what is it with some people - more money than sense!
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

Not everyone fancies the content of range bins - most of us bring sandwiches.dodgyrog wrote:I found it in the bins at the range - what is it with some people - more money than sense!kennyc wrote:GGG as supplied by the Range office at Bisley is good ammo, and boxer primed as well

No I think GGG was just normal FMJSevenSixTwo wrote:GGG. Sore point.
Anything else in 62gr?
There's also RUAG in 62gr?
Re: Reloadable 5.56/223 in 62gr
Possibly but I'm looking for a sustainable source - so most likely commercial.

Ah yes, I know the shop well, was there a couple of weeks ago. The Dutch have among the stricter of the European legislation spectrum, although they are experts at finding workable 'solutions' to such problems.mag41uk wrote:Yes, I was refering to buying ammo in Europe and bringing it back.
