Re: FAC wording
To be honest I think different police authorities make it up as they go along, in my case Leicestershire in my application I specified the specific calibres I wanted but not the action. I just specified "Rifle" as the type of firearm wanted for each calibre and the Reason I gave was target shooting.
For example:
Calibre Type Reason
7.62x51/.308 Rifle Target Shooting
I must admit I am slightly vague about moderators, when I put in my application I didn't ask for any but when the FEO did his visit he asked about it and I changed my mind, he wrote moderator several times on my application.
I am planning to put in a variation soon to up the amount of ammo I can have and add a couple more calibres. I haven't purchased all the calibres I asked for in the first place. I take it that I add them in again in the variation, how do I add the moderators in as well? Do you put Centrefire or Rimfire moderator in on the requested calibre section several times?

Re: FAC wording
They do! But to some extent they have to as there is no 'central' team/committee/section to give top-down instruction on the day-to-day processes. AFAIK since the dissolving of the FCC there is only the FELWG who only meet twice a year and have representatives of broad geographical areas, i wonder how often those reps meet with the individual FLD's??Fedaykin wrote:To be honest I think different police authorities make it up as they go along
Here's the link to the page where the minutes of their meetings are posted (can sometimes make for interesting reading!);
