The only extra info box i filled in was for the first set of questions with;
The initial statement to which the questions relate does not specify illegal firearms, which presumably is the topic of this exercise, therefore it should be reworded to; "Questions in this section seek your opinions on the EU's general role in combating the use and trade in illegal firearms, and whether more action is required at EU level." By not having the word "illegal" included this survey could be misrepresented to harm the LEGAL firearm trade in Europe.

Perhaps they are going to harmonise the law so that we can have pistols and semi-automatics like most of Europe.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword this...
e.g.:
C.4. To what extent should the EU establish binding rules and standards on technical security features for firearms, to help ensure that only the rightful owner of a firearm may use it?
Are they thinking bio-security? Fingerprint readers? FFS...
C.7. To what extent should the EU establish stricter rules on who may be authorised to possess a firearm (eg on basis of age, mental health, or possesion of a criminal record)?
Stricter rules? Stricter than what? Based on which countries rules?... Would 'stricter' rules (based on "something") end up with UK rules being 'relaxed'?.....

Whatever is behind this "consultation" which is hugely biased, it will not bode well for us. The EU is pretty useless and beaurocratic at the best of times, prepare for more red tape and restrictions I reckon.

The British Shooting Sports Council (BSSC) have issued information and guidance regarding the very important EU consultation on firearms controls at present in progress. It is essential to respond to what is a potentially very harmful consultation. Please note that the deadline is the 17th June.
