Good luck, by the time you've imported all your parts (lower, lower parts kit, trigger, upper, upper parts kit and barrel) you may find that buying a donor rifle in the UK and stripping then rebuilding with the parts that improve accuracy may be cheaper.

I have a Krieger on my High Power WOP upper and a Wilson on my CSR upper, both barrels shoot well but probably no better than a Border or Armalon barrel.

I originally wanted a Border barrel but Border barrels told me they only supply blanks to gunsmith's. My understanding is to get a finished barrel from a gunsmith it needs to be fitted and proofed along with the rest of the rifle. Proofing and timings are a problem if i'm getting everything else imported, so i felt it was easier to import a barrel along with everything else in one batch.

Will your imported barrel be a blank or chambered with AR15 barrel extension? If chambered with barrel extension remember to specify no gas port drilling.

Finished barrel with M4 barrel extension ready to drop in. No gas port, I triple checked this with them, for my own liberty. I'm also sending my bcg to Kreiger so the barrel can be properly head spaced and chambered to my bcg.

You don't need to send the BGC, just the bolt. The last lot of barrels I got from WOP came with head spaced bolts.

Still sounds like a major ball ache. :lol:

Then do what the rest of us do, get up early and drive to Bisley for the CSR matches. We have shooters coming from Cornwall and North Devon and I'm from Worcestershire and shoot CSR at Bisley.
And JohnMH is right, there are enough second hand AR's out there which will serve you well and maybe all they need is a trigger job and possibly a new barrel.

No doubt I will and look forward to it once I have everything sorted. My comment was in the context of the build and what it will be "regularly" used for, not my inherent laziness which I'm happy to admit to.
