In a poll of anti gun nutters, 200 out of 190 polled supported a ban................

Mark, I was looking at a few gun sites last night such as Gunbroker and Auction Arms and the prices have already started tumbling down.Blackstuff wrote:"But while polls show most Americans back an assault weapon ban, influential pro-gun lobby groups such as the National Rifle Association have pressed lawmakers to oppose such a move."
Oh yes, that EVIL gun lobby aka as 4 million citizen members! And DO the majority of Americans support an 'assault-weapon' ban? The extortionate prices and empty shelves seem to indicate otherwise
It will, a couple of months and all will be back to as it was.Chuck wrote:hope ammo supply gets back to normal sooner rather than later.
You wont get an argument from me on these issues but you certainly will from the anti gun groups and the Democrats. They prefer to take the easy option rather than tackle the issues head on. Personally speaking, if it keeps firearms out the hands of people with mental health issues and people with felony criminal records then I'm all for more stringent back ground checks along with medical records checks. The problem there of course is that not every person with mental health issues may be documented and then there is the criminal element who don't give a damn about laws.Thomas Turner wrote:Good news America, now protect your children and other soft targets, and do something about mental health issues, the land of the free needs to set the example, people who loose it and do these things need identifying, and responsible capable people should be armed perhaps even trained, how many schools etc would have been attacked if the attacker knew he/she was facing immediate armed response?
I agree and it has already been taken care of, it is one of the bills that will and should be passed.honsu wrote:I think the one thing they do need to look at is the private sale of firearms which was high lighted by the Panorama program which was on last Monday were the reporter went to a gun show tried to buy from a stall and could not due to the back ground check and not having a Texas driving license.
But while walking around the show was approached by a private seller with an AR15 which she bought with out any kind of checks and walked out the show with it.
