In the long and distant past I used to shoot handloaded Brennke slug out of a Marlin Goose gun.

I zero'd it by bending the barrel. I cut two lengths of 24"x3"x 1" board, I then screwed 2x3"x2"x2" blocks each one 2" from the end of one board and then a third same sized block in the middle of the second board. The whole shebang went into a vice with the barrel clamped and orientated 'tween the blocks. A bit of pressure on the vice and the barrel was gently bent, trial and error 'till correct POI was achieved.

Done the same thing with a few other guns over the years, obviously it can be overdone but it don't take much to shift POI out to 75-100yrds which is what I was zeroing to.

Thanks for the insight into olde worlde gunsmithing Adam.I'm way to ham-fisted to try anything like that,i'd probably be able to shoot round corners if i tried.
I'll go back to the lee slug one load was just about spot on.

Aye,it might a little disconcerting to the other shooters on the firing point to see me facing up and down the line while hearing watch and shoot.
