Better get somebody else to shoot them Dave what with the state of your minces. :geek:
14g to 15g 2400 would be a good starting point. Cat fart loads, around 4g to 5g of Viht 310.

Joe ;)

Range is on to morrow bad weather at the moment gail force winds but I am hoping it dies down over night.
I have loaded up dodgyrog boolits ready to go.
Had a bit of a problem I could not find the bag of cases I had any were dont know for the life of me were I have put them.
I could only find 21 cases so I have loaded
6 rounds with 13.5grains of ALLIANT 2400'
6 rounds with 14grains
3 rounds with 14.5grains
6 rounds with 15grains.
I intend to shoot them in 3 shot groups.of a bipod with the but rested in a sand bag.
The boolits miked at a consistent .313 and the average weight of boolit was 158grains.
I full length sized primed with winchester primers. Dropped 13grains of powder using a rcbs powder thrower into a pan on a electric scale then trickled the rest of the powder in ans check weighed the charge on a hornady mechanical beam measure .I used a lyman m die to flare the case mouth then seated the boolit. I inspected them and they look fine to me no lead shaving.
Ready to rock and roll.

Went to the range to day it was dry and cold.
I had a few problems scope mounts a little loose and bipod needed tightening up.
So a false start but once that was fettled I had another go.
The best results were with the 14 and 14.5 grains of 2400 but early days yet but the results are encouraging.
I cannot fault Dodgyrog boolits they are the Bizo (Get some)
I was shooting for group size not accuracy that comes once I am happy with the load lots more work yet but I am happy with this boolit.
What you also have to take into consideration is that I am blind as a bat with cataracts in both eyes so not a bad result.

I am off to the range to morrow to have another go with this rifle and boolit combination.
Its the first time I will be actually shooting since the detached retina scenario. Wish me luck.

Rumour has it, only where bullets are concerned, only bullets........... ;)
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
