That's very much like the Range stock for the Finnfire .22, except that was in real wood and lacks the vents under the barrel channel. Otherwise it's very similar indeed.
The mag well on the Finnfire Range is a brute especially with the 5 shot mag and requires a real two finger technique, anyone with fat fingers being stuffed. The ten shot mag, hanging down further is more practical on the go: I carry two when rabbiting from the truck - one in and one refilling. I suspect the bigger hole on this T3 version is to provide room for gloved fingers.
And you're right, the same design appeared in previous generations of Tikka, you know, the proper ones, as "Master Supersporter".
I suppose the fully adjustable M65A stock is just too labour intensive for the accountants at Beretta, that's before you build in a mag release button to either side of the mag well.

HAHAHA! Is Norway in Finland now? The price will be set by the ruddy bean-counters at the parent company, Beretta. The same bean-counters who downgraded Tikka from a high quality product priced just below big sister Sako to where it is now with the T3. **** ****

I still like the GRS offerings and they are nice in the flesh, incredibly light as well.

I went for the laminated camo, with oil finish, mainly because thats what they had. I have not inlet-ed it yet, they say it doesn't need doing. I will wait until I've put a few rounds through it and then have a look to see if it's leaving any marks on high points. The finish is very good although there are a couple of places that the pattern is not quite right and a little more rubbing down would make it better.

Very pleased with the length as I'm 6 6" with long arms. With the butt plate fully back it feels very nice.
