I have been toying with the idea of getting one for a while Adam but needed to get my beam scale sorted first other wise I would not be able to use it.
I dont want to be forking out for a new beam scale have you seen the price of them lately.
Had a session at the re loading bench to night ready for a range day to morrow. No problems looks like the re calibrate has done the trick. I was going to change the leveling screw for a longer one but when I checked its a No8 ANC an American thread not easy to get. Unless you live in the States of course. I toyed with the idea of re tapping it to a BA thread but in the end I made a extension piece. Kind of like a mini bolt round knob then screwed this on the end of the leveling screw it gave me about a 1/4" extra height. I also made a little cup for the ball to sit in this will give me extra height again should I need it but every thing seems fine now.
Up date I ordered a target master Thursday evening.
It was on my door step early Monday morning.
I set it up Monday evening.
I had a few teething problems nothing serious. I emailed Allan with a query and I have to say never before have I had such a quick response from any body that I have ever purchased any thing to do with reloading equipment before on line.
During the evening he answered every email I sent him within one hour until by the end of the evening I had the target master set up and doing the buisness.
Good kit get one.
Dealing with Allan was like a breath of fresh air this is how it should be done.
Allan is a true gentleman and has kindly provided a Targetmaster for the draw table for the Precision Snap and Sharpshooting Match in aid of the Royal British Legion at Bisley on 4th Aug 12.
My ammo for the match will be loaded using one of Allan's TM's.
I have been using the target master to trickle charges for my 357 under lever. Every charge came out exactly the same once it is set up it is a doddle to use. Set up takes about ten minutes for pistol calibers. I am going to charge it with N140 next and drop a 40 grain charge in to the pan from my RCBS powder measure then trickle it up to 41grains for the Lee enfield .303. Then I am going to drop 40 grains in the pan and trickle it up to 43.2grains for my .308. Then I am going to repeat the exercise for my Mosin Nagant. I will leave the powder measure set at 40grains no faffing about re zeroing it and just use the trickler to make up the small difference in charge weights. Oh Oh this is fun. I like it. clapclap
