Cleaning after moly
Having just read the eighty or so posts on moly, I hope that I will be forgiven in asking " why does one have to clean a barrel so scrupulously after using moly coated bullets prior to going back to non coated rounds" ? From time to time I shoot my own home load and home mollied rounds through a Swing/ Bartlein TR barrelled rifle. (Ruag is now a £1.00 a bang). Mollying became a habit, having read several US sites, and using it in my MR rifle. How does mollying "contaminate" the barrel?
Re: Cleaning after moly
I Moly my own rounds in my AI and shoot Milsurp from time to time and do no scrubbing between the two.
