I think it could be argued that having a system that allows you to easily change or add bits, depending on the style of shooting that you are doing at any given time, could give you a psychological boost.
Personally I like the idea of being able to change barrel length and knowing that replacement AR10 parts are available off the shelf.
I will be surprised to see this come in under £2000 and that will be the killer for me. I would rather have a custom rifle at that kind of price,

I think DM, that right there is the nail on the head!
Especially when you compare to the costs of AR uppers and Lowers in the states, its depressing :(

I'll take a stab at 3000 Drachma, plus a voucher for part ownership of a donkey

Re: 7.62 AR Straight-pull
I had not seen the Russian military model, it is a strange offering with a 16" barrel and that sliding stock - not exactly built for those wanting accuracy and distance. I would have thought that if someone wanted a short range gun that could be shot in multi positions, they would chose one of the .223's.
Reassuring to see that it is chambered for the .308 round, I would be cautious in buying something that is only stamped for 7.62 as I would want to be using .308 ammunition.
Anyway, good to see them being offered in the UK.

Re: 7.62 AR Straight-pull
THis picture has appeared on the UKPSA forum with word that SGC are going to start making a .308/7.62 AR again, i'd be surprised if its less than the Rusmilitary one and then theres the added trauma of dealing with SGC . . .

I'm not sure I'd be interested in the rusmilitary offering, even if it cost £1000. My dealings with SGC are well documented, but, generally, his products are probably slightly more reliable than the Russian clone.
Speculation some months ago put the LMT in the £3.5k range. I thought Bradley Arms was going to be a retailer, as well as NWCP and Defence Mechanisms? I know who I'd prefer to do business with out of those three, and it's the one who isn't currently listed as a retailer yet.

Has anyone else heard about the armalon easy cam chewing up the upper?
Re: 7.62 AR Straight-pull
Nope. I am just looking at a way of making an alternative cocking lever and the EasyCam was one way I had thought about.Dannywayoflife wrote:Has anyone else heard about the armalon easy cam chewing up the upper?
