The Great Pistol Theft

I had a single action army Colt which was factory nickel plated. The original wood grips had dried out and shrunk, so I fitted modern imitation pearl grips. We called it my "chad valley" gun after a well known toy maker. It didn't look real, but it won every single action competition at Bisley over the years, NPA meeting, Historic Arms meeting and the Trafalgar. I couldn't bear to have it destroyed so I gave it to Jim Hallam to sell for me, but he could not get it into the USA. Earlier this year, Jim contacted me to say that he owed me money as he had finally mamged to sell it. It is now legally in use again----in Northern Ireland!
