DIY Swaging dies!

#1 Post by j0e_bl0ggs »

Well decided to make a set of dies for a Corbin S press to swage .224 bullets.
Will be able to feed the 22 for pennies now!

De-rim die, Punch holder, Core squirt die, Core seat die and finally point form.

Made a reamer for the point form die

Using the reamer

And the end result

What are you using for the jacket, .22 cases?

Yeah, that is what the de-rim die is for! ;)
I also have quite a few J4 jackets as well.
Just needed to get off my ass and make the dies.

So, for us slower creatures, what you're doing is converting .22 rimfire brass into snug ikkle jackets for home rolled .224 lead bullets?

Lovely work, very good indeed. What materials did you use for the dies?
