Cheap shotguns

#1 Post by Porcupine »

I'm going to embark upon a gun project to build the cheapest and most ridiculous custom shotgun I can (duct tape, hacksaws, and lasers will be involved). First I need a host gun, I'm thinking a single shot break action like the Rossi. I've seen one of these as cheap as £40, but the other side of the country. Most of the gun shops I know down here in the south east are either posh ones that wouldn't stock anything that cheap, or oriented towards rifles. Any ideas on where I should look for a good bargain single-shot?

You need to find a scruffy little shop that has a huge stock of shotguns languishing in the back room. I can think of a few but nothing down Sarf.

Would a Greener also be a consideration?

I was thinking of the Rossi as well, mainly because you can get ATI stocks for them!

Saddlery and Gunroom at Bigginhill often has some cheap and interesting stuff in. Open Sundays as well if that helps.

Have you tried East Grinstead Guns (2 gunshops in the town) and the one in West Malling? John Forseys is another option, although he is very wildfowling biased (not a bad thing).
