Allowed Targets

#1 Post by Ginger »

Hi all,

I was looking at some targets on the web and I was wondering what is and isn't allowed at Bisley these PC days.

Are the ones below banned?

Anatomical ones?

Or

Or even good old Figure 11

Thanks in advance, I don't want to spend the money if I cannot use them.

We booked some "Fig 11 and Fig 12 equivalent" targets once, not knowing what the NRA PC version was called.

Imagine our surprise when we arrived at the range to find a stack of Fig 11s and Fig 12s waiting for us!

I always thought they had to be PC targets but there do seem to be a few like this being used at Bisley :good:

HI Gaz & Ovenpaa,

thank you for your responses, I thought it would have been DP 11's, when I was up bisley the other day I saw someone using the Fig11 and to be honest I thought they were banned hence the question.

Did they charge you extra for the DP11 / Fig 11's? Mind you knowing my luck if I was to book one I expect someone would have grabbed it before I started. When I got on SS at 10am during the week, 4 targets were in use and there was only one unshot one below the mantel.

Maybe a Bisley Bod could respond?

I suggest that you send your pics to Jacko in the range office.

(he knows what he is talkimg about)

In my day Fig 11 were being allowed but the old 1500 type with a definate head box, were not.

Things are changing daily and I haven't been near the office for over a week so who knows, they may even have moveed it!

I will be calling in for my mail tomorrow so,if I remember, I will ask.

Hi All,

I forgot to post my reply from Mark re the Fig 11 but it sounds like we are allowed to use them but the use just isn't promoted.

The PC target that we use is DP14 as we do not promote shooting at humanoid targets. The only time that Fig 12s and Fig 11s are used is by the military and Major NRA Events.

So their you go, you can use Fig 11s and any humanoid targets at any time other wise the NRA is offering a two tier club allowing rules to be broken when they want too, i.e. Major NRA Events which I would have said are more public.

Where is my order for Figure 11's and wall paper paste.
