Return of a problem ...

#1 Post by Polchraine »

Christel ...

Several months back there was a problem with emails being sent out that contained the IP address rather than Full-Bore URL and it caused problems with needing to login everytime a link was followed. The problem was resolved at that time but has now resurfaced on a random basis - 30% of alerts.

Please can you look at it as it is a pain having to login when I am using my 'phone!

Thx

I am clueless, nothing has been changed so I really do not understand why it has started again, I am thinking it is DNS related but with nothing changed it is strange to say the least.

I'll keep an eye on it.

The site is very slow loading for me and if I click on post a reply to a post it takes a age to load the page.
Is it just me or is any one else experiencing the same problem.
It makes for a very long drawn out session to follow what is going on on the forums.

Odd, it is very crisp for me, I have not seen any slow down issues in ages and just the occasional SQL error of my own doing...

Likewise crisp here with only the very rare sql error

How long has it been since the change over? 90 or 120 days? - Maybe your cookies have expired and reverted to the old ones? - I am not getting any issues with notification links, they work fine.

The site loads quickly for us but we do have the slow loading problem when we want to reply. When I clicked "Reply" to post this, it took 8-9 seconds before it loaded so I could type. Only seconds but an annoyance when you are itching to say something

Hi christel

Just tried to use the link from my email reply to view a reply to a thread and got a message window " non standard web address format " then when I pressed OK I would have needed to login to the site again . sign01
Went back to my bookmarks and no problem

Check the link in the email ... was it of the format http://109.203.120.4/viewtopic.php ......
or http://www.full-bore.co.uk/viewtopic.php ......

Te former is the oddity that make you login again whilst the latter is fine.
