Hi
Could someone run a check on this load for me please . Calibre .22 Remington Jet .
Rifle BSA Model 12 Martini action , barrel 1:16 twist , 28 1/2" Long ,
Remington Brass , CCI Small rifle primer , 45 gn .224 Sierra soft point , Viht N110 9.6 gns
Theres very lttle info out there on this calibre and most of it relates to revolver use .
I have been experimenting with different amounts of powder recently and this performs well at short range for a light load , the previous owner was running it with 10.5 gns , without a chrono I dont actualy know what the expected velocity is .
Any help appreciated .
Dave

Re: Ballistics program check please
A look through gives data for the 22 Jet AI and the 22 Jet Mag. From the QL drawing I suspect that the 22 Jet Mag is the 22 Jet, a combination of the 22 Remington Jet and the 22 Centrefire Magnum (CFM) nomeclature.
Without COL and case length and case capacity, putting the load as described through QL give 2549 fps at 23983 PSI.

Thanks for the info Dromia .
I just had a measure OAL that I have is 1.618 , I did a test today by putting a pen marker over the bullet and case and setting it in the breach to see if it was touching the lands , as the there were lines running down the bullet I set it back till it wasnt touching , the case length I have is 1.282 .
The figure you came up with was a bit more than I was expecting .
Thanks Dave

Re: Ballistics program check please
Sorry Dave first figures had a typo velocity should be 2459 fps with the same PSI.
Re done figures with your seating depth which is greater than the first calculation gives 2519fps @ 24886 PSI, I find QL always to be a little bit over, also there is incomplete input data. Case capacity would be quiet important in such a small case.
