I was repeatedly stopped on a motorbike journey from Oxford to Essex. That did get tiring. I gather the other motorists took exception to the rifle slip strapped to my back and another alongside the bike.

I was stopped on my motorbike with my rifle strapped on my back and they never even asked me what was in it. Just suggested **** I don't accelerate so rapidly  past all the cars leaving the 30 limits. Didn't notice that one of the cars was an unmarked police car  . Otherwise never been stopped on motorbike with rifle over my back. But I do live in the Highlands.

Unfortunately the right to silence was abolished in the UK in 1994 (since then juries have been allowed to infer guilt from silence) but if you are ever stopped in a free country:

In my mid thirties now, but when I started shooting in my late teens my parents didnt have a car. We used to cycle to our little rough shoot with shotguns in slips, and the dog in the basket on the front of a bike. One year the household insurers decided that they wanted the shotguns valued, so Dad, myself and a familly friend took two guns each on the bus to the local gunshop. Bus driver seemed quiet happy.

Actually it was the Conservatives. But you're right, as the lawyer in the video explains, anything you say to the police can only ever be used against you - police will not take the stand in your defence and if they try to it will be disallowed as hearsay.
