All metal or wooden handle versions? I remember trying to break a milk bottle with mine, pellets bounces off, the darts ricochet into oblivion, in the end I tried shooting the milk bottle at point blank range with the sprung bit itself, at least it knocked the bottle over but failed to break it......

+1 for the GAT air pistol! I've still got mine and its just as inaccurate as when my mam bought it for me 20 years ago! :lol: Lost all me corks and darts though

The BSA Meteor Super (1969) had a sort of shrouded muzzle that made it look like a 45... so you could fire corks from that...

Found my old boys air rifle from around 1938, a smooth bore .177 made from pressings by the looks of it, must try and get a photo on here.

Not a rifle but none the less the most inaccurate firearm I have ever shot was a ROHM over and under derringer in .38special that I owned prior to the pistol ban. This was a German reproduction of the famous Remington vest pistol that you will see gamblers using in cowboy movies.
At 10 metres it was necessary to aim at the foot of a figure 11 target in order to get your rounds in the centre of the target. I still managed not to come last using this in a club Christmas fun shoot though. I wish that I still had it because it would be a useful tool for despatching and would easily fit in your pocket.

The most inaccurate has to be a North American Arms 22 Short Derringer....



Followed closely by a Colt Junior 22 Short...

I lined up the sights and hit a can at about 40' with a Colt Junior last weekend, only problem was everyone was looking away and nobody saw that shot.

Irony is there are lemons in even some great guns / designs

The CZ75 was a popular 9mmP in RSA for IPSC etc
But the lottery was the quality of the steel the company used

You got a good one - lasted forever
other would cracked the frame in or slide in 500 rounds or so

and lets not talk about certain cretins that call then selves gunsmiths (I know not all are) but the dastardly b****** .. those that take a perfectly decent gun and ruin it forevere and charge you for the pleasure!

Sadly it was a 1915 Lithgow made SMLE for which I paid too much money without really checking it thoroughly. It looked clean and tidy and original and the barrel looked pretty fair.

I shot it 100 yards and the first shot was really low, the second really high, the next two low the next two high, then the bullets started to go through sideways....and so on. I cleaned the barrel carefully and found great lumps of copper and lead on the patches. I then checked it with a bore light to find that there was an area of rust about 6 inches long, 2 inches from the muzzle where the bullets were being ripped to bits. When I first looked at when I bought it this rust was not visible, I wonder what had been used to cover this up.

I also found the stock was split from the magazine opening to the middle band and the split filled with hard wax to disguise it.

I got my money back and will never use that dealer again..........
