I am told .480 ruger fls dies work on formed cases. Sadly I dont have any formed cases, only 24GA CBC
brass to reform. So I am trying to make my own dies that fit a standard press 7/8x14.The large dies are an arm and a leg

Prices are hellish for the large dies - Lee at around £100 and other makes are way over. Even the brass is going to cost and like you am going for the budget 24g brass. Think I've found a source of preformed, so that is one stage I can avoid.

Had a look for .480 Ruger dies but have had no luck.... maybe just not looking in the right place at the mo

MrD...do a search on e-bay....there is a supplier in the US who sells 577/450 Martini Lee dies at quite reasonable prices...I bought a set last year and I think I paid about £85 including P&P and taxes...Lee Classic Cast press....good kit by the way....you can get from various suppliers here at about £100+......a google search will find them.

However, if you dont want to spend that much, its' quite possible to load for your Martini Henry without either dies or a press....

targetman, I have found a UK supplier for the dies at £81. I looked at US suppliers but the 'Excise Lottery' makes them uneconomical.

3bravo I'll email Kynoch about the brass. The preformed 24g is abot £3 per case
