Not at all...we've just been around a bit ....and it was great being young in the 80's :shakeshout:
No, it wasn't. Somebody lied to you.
Was OK for me, I have never followed the crowd smile2 Did like Paul Young though and Bodie and Doyle. Got my first car, first proper job. Those were the days.

You must admit, you all looked utterly ridiculous!
I have to admit that when I see young lads at work with their hair brushed over their face (as they do now) it irritates me...but then have to remember that when I was their age, I have a photo of me with a dyed blonde quiff and wearing a lime green shirt with white trousers and espidrills (no socks)
I had a 1.6S MkII, i would have liked the 2.0 or even a V6 jobbie but the 1600 had to do, it was replaced with a 2.0 litre Saab 90 that was loads of fun

There's a Capri on our road, beautiful looking thing. I dread to think how much money it's had spent on it over the years. I always thought they were good looking cars myself, kinda like a normal mans E-type!
My second car was a beige Mk2 1.6, and then a black 2.0 laser...which was luverley - I always wanted a 2.8i or 3.0 but couldn't afford the insurance...but still havn't ruled out getting one yet....
