Afternoon all,
I have been following Dave's "next project" thread and have to admire the ingenuity of it all but it got me thinking if there was a different way of applying heat to the cases that is both financially viable and controllable-blow torches just seem a little bit hit and miss. I have been looking into the feasibility of adopting an Induction coil system instead but without the required knowledge of the electrical side of things, I just don't know if it would be worth pursuing? Anyone out there that knows about these things as they certainly look like they could be applied to the brass annealing process.

Re: One for the electrical engineers out there
There are a good few induction annealers out there - Here's one that shows promise.

That is very nice, I have looked at induction heaters in the past but they are expensive and scary things and I just know I would have to out my finger in it to see what happens....

Have you guys seen this one? There's a video on the page as well. http://www.giraudtool.com/annealer1.htm

Thats another interesting twist - As far as I understand they can't/won't send them over here. The bulk filling set-up seems to upset the authorities.Blu wrote:Have you guys seen this one? There's a video on the page as well. http://www.giraudtool.com/annealer1.htm
