With reference to my post of a while back regarding the webley .410 that fired the cartridge before it was fully "in battery"
I finally got around to taking the said gun to a gunsmith who told me the fault was most likely caused by wear and tear in the bolt , however it's not possible to be sure due to the damage caused by the explosion.
He said the gun wasn't really worth fixing do I left it with him for disposal ... I did however take the woodwork so the little one coupld have it as a souvenir (I did spend many hours re-finishing it after all !!)
Ah well .. That ends that particular chapter !

Re: Exploding .410
Are you going to look for another one? I was tallking to a mate a while ago who had just picked up a s .410 S/S for his daughter (Somehow I doubt she will get to use it very often!)
Re: Exploding .410
I've been thinking long and hard about this one ... The shoot we go to allows us to use their o/u .410 ... So I think I'm gonna stick with that option for a while and the look into a semi auto 20bore in the future ...
