i havent spoken with my RFD yet, but wondered if any problems sending a rifle from the uk to Ireland, especially the republic?
would postage be the same cost?
any replies help ful

I sent a rifle and a shotgun to a mate in the Republic about 5 years ago and it was a bit of a nightmare!
You need an RFD with an export licence and the person receiving has to apply for his certificates for the gun/s before they enter Ireland. Cost over 100 quid with fees and shipping.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
