Evidently Hendon Rifle club owes its inception the generosity of a managing director.
The Normal powder and ammunition company.

Re: The Normal powder and ammunition company.
Unfortunately never heard of them - It looks like they also had a production facility in Erith, Kent and they brought in powder from Sweden.
I would think it was a good time to get into ammunition production as by then just brewing up for the Boer war.

Re: The Normal powder and ammunition company.
Aktiebolaget Svenska Krutfaktorierna (ABSK) was founded in 1893 as a subsidiary of Skånska Bomullskrutfabriks Aktiebolaget (SBKA), which was established in the same year1. The two companies built factories in Annelöv, near Landskrona, where they manufactured cotton powder, nitroglycerin, dynamite, gunpowder, detonators, fuses, and hunting ammunition12. One of the prominent figures in the companies was Adolf Matteoschach, who was the chief engineer and later the manager2. In 1919, a fire broke out in four of the factories, causing explosions that killed three workers and injured three more2. In 1956, the companies were sold to Standard Färg, which continued to produce paint and hunting ammunition2. The factories were later owned by Nordsjö Färg, which mainly produced road marking paint2. The production ceased in 1998 and the buildings were demolished in 20042.
